Founders
Dr. Victoria Donnelly is a founder of IP-MEX. She is a registered Patent Agent in Canada and the USA. She holds technical degrees in three various and complementary areas of engineering and science: Ph.D. in Math&Physics (Computational Physics), M.Sc. in Optics, and B.Eng. in Electronics and Applied Engineering. Victoria has over 10 years of academic research experience as a University Professor, and over 5 years of Management Consulting experience.
For the last 20 years Victoria has been concentrating on Intellectual Property management, demonstrating a proven record of success in establishing solid IP Programs in a diverse corporate environment, from a multi-national corporation to a number of high-tech companies. Victoria has worked as a Senior Manager of IP at Nortel Networks, and then as a Director of IP for Tropic Networks, a promising start-up company in Ottawa acquired by Alcatel-Lucent, where she has established a world-class IP program recognized by many investors. Victoria has also worked as a Director of IP at the patent licensing company, where she has specialized in filing and prosecution of patent application specifically for licensing purposes, and managed a vast patent portfolio of 5000 patents, including patents of Nokia, Microsoft and other large players on the market.
At IP-MEX, Victoria oversees the development of IP strategy, launching and maintaining full scale IP programs for local small and medium size companies by offering a full spectrum of IP services. Victoria is a prolific inventor herself; she is the author of more than 35 scientific publications and 8 patents. She is also a member of the Licensing Executive Society and Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.
Victoria has personally filed over 300 patent applications in various technology areas, including:

Dr. Allan Williams is another founder of IP-MEX. He holds a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics and M.Sc. in Radiophysics and Electronics, and has over 20 years of varied experience in Applied Physics Research with the emphasis on Solid State Physics, Electronics, Semiconductors and Optics.
Allan is also an experienced computer programmer with strong programming experience in C, PASCAL, FORTRAN, JAVASCRIPT, PERL and knowledge of modern Internet Technologies. In addition, Allan has 10 years of Consulting Experience in the Intellectual Property field, including 3 years of experience as a freelance technical expert at the Patent Office.
At IP-MEX, Allan oversees the development of software for managing intellectual property assets, the evaluation of patents and technologies for various purposes, the IP competitive intelligence, validity and infringement searches, designing around and inventing on demand for clients of IP-MEX.
Allan is also a prolific inventor, he is the author of more than 25 scientific publications and 10 patents.
